Whats the heaps good process?

  1. Enquiry. Contact us here and ask about a package or custom system. We’re friendly, no sales-pressure and happy to help with general enquiries.

  2. Phone or email consultation. Discuss your energy needs with our team and we’ll work out the next best steps for you and your property.

  3. Site visit and meet face to face. We’re a local S.A. business, so we like to meet our clients, do a site visit and ensure you’re getting the best advice and value.

  4. Detailed written quote and Panel/Battery/EV Charger design. We prepare a written quote and design with all the information up front including STC Rebates and making it easy to understand. Our team will contact you to explain all the details and can answer questions or make modifications.

  5. Job acceptance and booking. When you’ve got the right system and ready to accept and pay the deposit, our team will book in your installation at the next available date. You will receive written confirmation of an install date and time. We do the leg-work to cover all Network Approvals and STC Rebates.

  6. Installation. Your system will be installed by the in-house Heaps Good Team, who will complete the job and keep you in the loop. After installation we set you up with a basic system tutorial and install the consumption monitoring app to keep you fully informed and in control of your energy production and usage. All jobs are to be paid for on completion.

  7. After sales service. We check-in with you the week after installation and remain available for questions and further enquiries.

  8. Maintenance and follow-up. System maintenance, add-on batteries, additional solar and other electrical needs are all part of the Heaps Good service.

How much does solar cost?
When you request a quote, one of our team members will contact you to organise a visit to your property. Using our aerial technology we can calculate the best solar system to suit your current energy usage, budget and roof design. There are many factors that go into a solar quote so we visit each customer to make sure you are getting accurate pricing with no nasty surprises.

What size solar system can I get?
Your connection to the grid in South Australia is through South Australian Power Networks (SAPN). Most homes are either connected with single phase or three phase. This is the first determination of the solar system size you can have installed. The configurations for systems are below:

  • Single Phase has a 5kW export limit and 10kW inverter limit.

  • Three phase has a 15kW export limit and 30kW inverter limit.

The other factors concerning the size of your system includes roof space m2, shading (trees, air-con units etc.), energy requirements and the direction the roof panels are facing. For example the best efficiency for solar panels are on north facing roof panels.
